This young man, and his friend, fed me at their little outpost off of Route 218.
A Taklamakan variety…
I discovered the “Doesn’t Tumbleweed”!
You wonder how I entertain myself, well…I find ways.
Sticky Bush
Loving most things I find in nature…the sticky bush is one I dislike. Especially, when our initial greeting a week ago was when he snuck into my little girl’s room at camp. Sticky bush!!! Keep your thorns to yourself…
But, Mr. Sticky is great for cleaning your fingernails. Just keep it away from those tires, and socks, and shoes…and panties!
Why you should learn another language.
(I’m specifically talking to you ‘Merica!)
For many many many reasons. But when you can sit at a restaurant and chat up the boss man for awhile…you leave with a full belly and a FREE meal! He was very kind and it’s happened before…but not that often from the actual owner.
I’m not sure whats going to happen when I tour Central Asia and can’t turn on my Mandarin speaking charm.
Route 218 is mostly Han, but EVERYONE is so fantastically kind. Beyond kind…unbelievable. The owner’s of my zhusu…the man is Uyghur and the woman in Han. Excellent! World Peace!
Buh Bye…
Winter gear…you’re going to the post office tomorrow…so I can zooooom through the Taklamakan!
